The Child of Necessity: Building the Support System for Continuous Growth.

Hello, everyone. This is Ubong Essien, CSP, and the Dean of the School of Eloquence.

The second leg of our learning trilogy—Association—is not an optional add-on; it is a child of necessity. Many of my students, after completing the formal classroom education, would ask the same question: “Ubong, what next? How do I continue to grow?” .

The answer is continuous, structured association.

  1. Sustaining the Learning: Association—like joining our Eloquence Club—solves the problem of knowledge decay. It allows adults who have been formally, systematically educated to meet and continue to consolidate on the learning and apply what they’ve acquired.
  2. Ion Sharpens Ion (Informed Feedback): The true beauty of association is that the feedback shared is from an informed, educated standpoint. It is not merely subjective criticism; it is peer review based on the same principles, structure, and tools you both studied.
  3. The Engine of Endless Improvement: The club setting provides a continuous, safe environment to practice and hone and improve your public speaking to what I call endless heights of improvement. It is the support system that ensures your commitment outlasts the initial burst of motivation.

The journey to mastery is never taken alone. Find your association, practice your craft, and ensure your knowledge is sharpened by the critique of your informed peers.
